Hey There!

I’m Jacque…

In random order; I’m a human mom, a dog mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a girlfriend, a business owner, a softball player/manager, a student/(academically & in life!), a music lover, a concert go-er; (yes, I win most my tickets!); & a hairstylist of almost 19 years!

About Me…

Born & raised in San Jose, CA; I talk, walk, & eat at a Bay Area pace! (Ok, the “eat” part is more of a hairstylist thing!). You’ll rarely find me sitting idle unless it’s binging a series or movie, responding to clients, or playing a slot game in my phone!

I’m a passionate person. I love hard & work hard! I believe in the importance of family & friends & doing the right thing. I hope my babies, 18 & almost off to college & 16 & sassy, feel the same! (JK my daughter’s a gem! 😉)

If I’m not working, I’d like to be outdoors; playing softball, at my favorite dog park, traveling, camping, or hanging at the beach. Most likely, though, I’m cleaning or working on some part of my “to-do” list! #adulting

♡Life is short. Optimism always + positive vibes. ♡

My Background as a HairStylist

One day in 2003…

I studied Cosmetology in high school. I did CCOC my senior year & finished up 6 months after graduating. I got a job at Supercuts just to get some experience, but 6 months later ended up managing the shop for 3 1/2 years. (I was just 19!) I then left corporate & implemented a color program to educate employees of two franchise salons. In 2009, I made my way to a high-end salon in Santa Clara & have been independent ever since.

After almost 20 years in my industry, I still absolutely love what I do.

Education is an incredibly important part of my career. There are always new trends to learn, new & old ways to do things, & techniques to brush up on. I love educating as well & worked for a while under a professional color brand teaching others; something I would eventually like to get back into. Pre-pandemic, I attended 2 to 3 hair shows/conventions a year & continuously have taken advanced classes & courses. I’m SO excited to be back on track & booking up my education calendar for the year!

Being a life-long learner fuels what I do!

My favorite thing about being a hairstylist, hands-down, is my clients! I am insanely blessed to have an amazing clientele full of long-time friends & great people. Besides them trusting me to do their hair, letting me be creative, or taking part in that creativity; the relationships I have formed throughout my career are priceless. The experiences shared with me daily & the mutual trust & respect we’ve built make me feel so thankful, honored, & privileged to do what I do, every day!

Didn’t mean to get all mushy on ya! But for real!…

For this, I am so grateful. ♡
